About Kingsfoil

A Pennsylvania based rock quartet with a focus on songwriting, arrangements, and energetic live performances.

Kingsfoil was originally formed as an acoustic duo. Songwriting by Jordan Davis and Tristan Martin has matured over the years through their three independent releases (Thoughts on the Floor ’02, Blueprints ’04, and The Almond Tree EP ’05). Following the strong release of the Almond Tree EP, Joe Cipollini was added on drums, and in 2007 Tim Warren finalized the group on bass. With this solid line-up, Kingfoil recorded the five song Bear in the Attic release in 2007.

As a four piece, Kingsfoil has seen extensive growth in the south central and eastern PA markets. Drawing on influences like Coldplay, Ben Folds, Love Drug, and Radiohead, their songwriting has reached new heights. Kingsfoil continues to perform on a regional level adding fans and friends on a consistent basis. Collectively, Jordan, Tristan, Joe, and Tim are passionate about three things: burritos, bonfires, and perfecting their craft.

Different Ways of Using Bamboo and We're on Kings of A&R

hey kids - I wanted to write an update on kingsfoil happenings but instead I came up with a random list of things that may seem vaguely interesting - lately I’ve been finding different ways of using bamboo, (pole vault pole, tipi poll, garden marker, bridge handrail, wall, blow dart pipe, trellis and fence) - Tim turned 21 and is not a drunk yet (we’re keeping an eye on him) - I won a putting contest against Steve (it was at least 12 feet) and got dinner free - Tristan gets nasty when we loses at cards - Joe still can’t lift heavy shit - I almost shaved my head the other day - We’re writing new songs that are feeling like summer.

We're Opening for Sum 41 This Wednesday, May 6th

We’re releasing the second half of “the double single” this Tuesday evening, May 5th! If you haven’t listened to the first half, Demons is on myspace and our site now.

The day following the release (May 6th), we will be opening for Sum 41 at The Chameleon Club in Lancaster. Looks like we are the only local band playing on that bill, so come on out and show us some support and love if you can. Tickets are $15 and we have them now so if you want one, send us a message or e-mail at steve@kingsfoil.com We will also be at Borders this Saturday the 2nd from 6 to 7 and will have them there.

Thanks – hope to see you, soon and let us know what you think of the new music – we really appreciate your comments (especially the nice ones!).
